Full Job Description

Responsibilities Data collection and analysis ▪ Assist with collecting, quality assuring, and analyzing data for: project design and scoping; company's log frame indicators; value for money (VfM) indicators; intervention baselines and end lines; partner and beneficiary feedback on company support and communications. ▪Collect evidence and undertake verification activities related to company achievements. ▪ Organize, archive and populate company’s MEL database with the above-mentioned information. Administration and facilitation   ▪ Provide English/Swahili translation of MEL and communications-related documents. ▪ Assist other company Team members and external consultants in scheduling, financial management, logistics, live translation, event management and other forms of support to carry out project, MEL or communications activities. This includes assisting external annual reviewers or evaluation teams. Research ▪ Conduct desk research, including literature reviews, media/environment scans and compilation of information from various sources (both publicly available and other). ▪ Carry out primary research for the purpose of assessing company impact, bench-marking / informing the design of company interventions or gathering other information of relevance to the Program. ▪ Conduct stakeholder interviews and focus group discussions to inform project design and implementation.Contract duration: Twelve months RequirementsKnowledge and Experience ▪ Fluency in English and Swahili (written and spoken); ▪ Ability to operate Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel; ▪ University degree plus 1-2 years experience, or equivalent (3-4 years) experience in development economics, business, finance, nature based solutions, or other fields relevant.Desirable ▪ Experience in primary data collection for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) or applied research; ▪ Experience in data analysis and report writing; ▪ Familiarity with relevant sectors, including investment, climate finance or agriculture markets;▪ Willingness to conduct periodic field visits within and outside Dar es Salaam; ▪ Fine attention to accuracy, detail and quality; ▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collect information from external stakeholders with discretion and political sensitivity; ▪ Ability to work independently as well as in a team; ▪ Excellent organizational skills; ▪ Willingness to work under pressure and in a timely and efficient manner for tight deadlines.
