Job Purpose:

Our client is a leading specialty retailer in the ceramic floor & wall tile market that seeks to hire a Retail Sales Executive at Mwanza, Tanzania . This role is pivotal in driving in-store sales, maintaining an outstanding level of customer service, be the bridge between the physical and digital storefronts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster genuine relationships with customers, understanding their needs and guiding them through our product range.
• Drive sales targets within the store through product expertise and customer engagement.
• Champion our online initiatives, familiarizing in-store visitors with our digital platforms and promotions
• Facilitate the selection process by offering comparative insights on similar products, if needed.
• Encourage add-on sales or upsells when appropriate, without pressuring the customer
• Offer a tailored presentation of products based on the customer's expressed interests and needs.
• Provide suggestions and alternatives when a particular product might not be a perfect fit.
• Stay informed about the store's inventory, including new arrivals, product specifications, and any promotional offers
• Facilitate the selection process by offering comparative insights on similar products, if needed.
• Ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately, providing customers with a clear and detailed receipt.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to place special orders for customers when required merchandise is not available in-store.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment with accuracy and integrity

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

• A university/college degree in a computer or business-oriented field.

• Minimum 2 years experience in a retail with great customer service
• You should have good experience in retail sales in the flooring, bathroom and home furnishing industry
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic cash handling procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Knowledge of using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is essential.
• Ability to think quickly and address customer inquiries or issues effectively
